Description
The book gathers a corpus of short stories and fables from the south-central Peruvian Andes, the result of decades of fieldwork in Junín, Huancavelica, and Ayacucho. It presents a theoretical framework on short stories and fables, 169 tales with mythical reminiscences, animals, stars, natural phenomena, or funny or moralizing stories, as well as nine traditional fables of a formative nature. The work seeks to preserve the intangible Andean cultural heritage and strengthen identity and pride in its traditions.
