Description
This text, supported by ethnographic, symbolic, and hermeneutic methods, as well as Pierre Bourdieu's theory of the religious field, analyzes the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement (MRCCA) in Ayacucho. It examines its origin, development, and impact in the city, highlighting its role within the Catholic pluralism promoted since the Second Vatican Council. Likewise, it studies its non-traditional religious practices, distinct from those imposed by the Catholic hierarchy and closer to the expressions of Pentecostal evangelicals, showing the particular way in which its members experience and express their faith in the contemporary Ayacucho context.
