This book reflects on the daily construction of peace from the micro-scales of daily life, language, culture, and co-education. The author Abilio Vergara Figueroa addresses the complexity of peace not only as the absence of war but also in its intimate and relational dimension, examining the violence that occurs "below": among the poor, neighbors, family members, and even against oneself. Through an analysis that articulates conflict, difference, and violence, the study proposes to distinguish that not every conflict is violent, although all violence embodies conflict, positing peace as conflict management and a permanent horizon. With reflections on memory, emotions, forgiveness, justice, and the construction of the subject, this work constitutes a fundamental contribution to thinking about the culture of peace from the necessary dialogue between education and daily coexistence.
